TED 2019: Bigger Than Us
I had the pleasure of being one amongst several working artists behind the environmental visual development behind TED 2019: Bigger Than Us. I was tasked with designing an environment for the session “Imagination” which was then animated by my talented friend Jordan Bergren, who himself made a designed and animated a bunch of other things for TED conference 2019! We worked with the team at Colours & Shapes in Vancouver to help bring TED 2019 to life, and it was an absolute delight to have had the opportunity to put our brains together to create something for a great cause like TED.

I was extremely fortunate to have had the opportunity to design and animate for this years Main TED conference in Vancouver. It was an absolute pleasure to work with the team over at Colours and Shapes as well as the talented group of artists they brought together.
This piece was for the Session Themed: Imagination. The original idea was to show this kind of derelict stage, in which a butterfly would entry a stream of light and bring beauty and wonder back to the theater. Eleena Bakrie, designed this gorgeous frame and I took it from there to create a several loops which would play on screen as the TED attendees took their seats and the speakers gave their talks.
If you have some time head over to Eleena's site or vimeo page to see the AMAZING work she puts out!
