TED 2018

I had the incredible opportunity to work on the opening sequence for the annual TED Conference 2018 held in Vancouver under the direction of Jr. Canest with the team at Colours & Shapes. I primarily storyboarded, and then designed the frames alongside kick-ass illustrator / incredible human being Stephanie Stromenger, the frames were then animated by Jr. and Victor Silva with sound design by John Poon. This is the result of a crazy few weeks while juggling school, and is one of my favourite collaboration experiences yet.  The concept behind this opener is traveling through the different ages experienced by humanity, until we reach this current age, The Age of Amazement.

Opener breakdown below, or Full TED 2018 Visuals Behance project here.

The awesome team at Colours & Shapes reached out to me with the opportunity to help with the visuals for TED, so of course I decided to bring in a team to make it happen. Initially, we were only going to help with the visuals environments, but during that process, we were asked to create the opener for the conference. This is the result of a crazy couple weeks, with the goal of taking the viewer on a journey through the ages past, into this new age: THE AGE OF AMAZEMENT. Creative Direction: Jorge R. Canedo E. Design: Eleena Bakrie, Stephanie Stromenger Animation: Jorge R. Canedo E., Victor Silva Music & Sound Design: John Poon Produced by Colours & Shapes Director & Producer: Anthony Diehl Producer & Creative Director: Gordie Cochran More details of the project here: https://www.behance.net/gallery/64442031/THE-AGE-OF-AMAZEMENT-TED-2018-Visuals
